FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Before You Ship Machinery to Brazil
Project scope and legally responsible professionals are determined individiually.
No. CE documents may be useful technical evidence, but Brazilian requirements and the installation site's conditions still need assessment.
Not necessarily. NR-10, NR-11, NR-17 or other applicable requirements may be relevant depending on equipment, operations and local conditions.
Ideally during concept or detailed design, before safety architecture and major layouts are fixed. Reviews can also begin at manufacturing or FAT stages.
Where applicable, a qualified Brazilian responsible professional registers ART for a defined engineering activity under the relevant CREA rules before that work begins.
No. FAT verifies agreed functions before shipment, but installation conditions and integrated interfaces may still require on-site verification.
No. NR-12 sets regulatory requirements. Engineering assessments, tests, documentation and applicable responsibility records can support demonstration of compliance.
